Powerblading goes along with pureblading. The first day on my powerblade set-up felt like home right away. I truly feel like every blader out there should have a powerblade set-up in order to enjoy skating at is fullest. I felt a new kind of freedom with them. I relearned to enjoy skating itself. Just the feeling of rolling around became fun again. I had only 5 days with them for this Edit but I know that there are so many things that can be done with these bad boys on. Welcome to this place where the word “Rolling” finds its meaning. Peace

Chris set the World Record Inline Long Jump at 30 Meters (98.4 ft) at the Air Fise in France this past weekend. We are proud of Chris, he is representing WHAT WE DO to the masses. Our sport has minimal main stream exposure, and what Chris is doing is definitely helping our sport grow. Revolution is proud of you Chris!

BANK TO FENCE RAIL MISSION

This past weekend Revolution Team Rider Casey McFarland and I headed out to skate some street, the usual weekend routine in AZ. Casey is also not “lazy” when it comes to prepping skate spots, so, I figured this was a prime opportunity fix a bank to fence rail spot with him on board.

The previous weekend, I tour guided the Strange Creatures crew around AZ spots, we hit this really nice bank to up-rail by a chain link fence (Ben Schwab illusion makio, Kenny Scherf a/o topsoul down, I did X-Grind up in my 90 too). However, my good friend from Colorado Howie Bennett did bank to a/o fish on it, and ended up missing on one of his attempts and broke the rail off. We thought it was a done deal.

I always see sick bank to cross support fence rails, and I always say I wish we had one of those around. So, like most things in life, if you want something, no one is going to just give it to you, you have to go after it yourself.

Luckily the broken rail was still there at the ditch, it was a diagonal up rail, so we had to make it shorter in order for it to be horizontal. Step 1 was to hacksaw the rail shorter to fit the cross supports.

After a solid 30 minutes of straight hacksawing the rail, our arms were done, but we got it dialed

Moment of truth, the rail had to fit perfectly within the supports or we had to cut more off.

“It fits!!!” – First try madness

Tightening down the support screws, no one likes to skate some “janky” rail, this one will be legit.

Spot is done, we made it high enough to be legit, and it’s a perfect bank to fence rail. Now, get out there and make a skate spot in your scene!

This photo was originally intended for Be-Mag. I was shooting an interview
entirely of “MAN MADE” obstacles. I built one obstacle for each of my sponsors.
I filmed the process by myself so the shots aren’t everything I wanted for the building
portion. So this is episode #1 of “Makings of a one of a kind photo”. I hope you enjoy.
