Our good friend/skater Chris Tinsley hit me up awhile ago, and said he’s getting an artist folio in ONE MAGAZINE. He then asked me to write his bio for the magazine, for which I was honored to do. It’s easy to write about someone who is as talented, genuine, and as nice as Chris is. Pick Up the latest issue of ONE to see Tinsley’s full profile.

Tinsley’s heart is in blading 100%. Aside from being extremely talented with design, he’s a skater. He skates hard with his crew – “Strange Creatures.” He knows what is “cool” and what is “wack.” It is easy to tell what is skater influenced, and what isn’t. Chris has an advantage for design in our industry because he has a direct understanding of what rollerblading is.

Something that is all too common in blading is that companies release half-ass designs, and hodge podge messes lacking any sort of direction. I believe companies need to take advantage of Chris’s ability, and put their trust in him. Our industry needs to take this step forward, and “appear” more professional. Designers like Chris have the ability to do this for us.

Again, we would put our trust in Chris any day to give Rollerblading, and Revolution a stronger image. We believe in his work, and stand behind him 100%. We hired Chris to rebrand our image, and he created some amazing graphics for Revolution. We are excited for Chris, he’s following his passion to be a designer in our industry. You can see more and more of Chris’s work popping up everywhere, and this is just the beginning for him.
