Jon Jenkins and I wanted to film a clip for the Revolution “Who We Are” Owner’s Edit at the Power Banks this past saturday. It was well over 110 degrees, but, we figured we’d do it anyways. We watched Strange Creatures (really sick btw) at the shop for the 100th time, then decided to roll out.

Strange Creatures has been playing non-stop at the shop for a week straight
We called up some skaters, grabbed gallon jugs of water, and headed off to the power banks. Fresh off from wrecking his new car, Luke Kimberly borrowed a van to meet up with his crew. He’s happy about it as you can see here.
Luke Kimberly – don’t get into the van kids
Luckily, Ryan Daily rolled out to snap some photos in the heat. The spot was a drop down grind then roll down the ditch. The roll-in was scarier than we thought, if you miss the grind and slide out, you’ll leave some skin on the bank for sure. Jeans got ripped, and hands got torn up.

Jon Jenkins doing what he does best
The wax was not holding on the ledge, we would throw a layer on it, and it would end up dripping completely off the ledge. Running off it like water. But, we made the best of it, and let the ledge basically eat our skates alive.

Luke and I agreed the hardest part was getting up the bank to go again. After a fun session, we went to the only shaded area underneath the bridge where Jacey and Andrew started to session a busted guardrail.

After the quick “p-rail” session, we all were on the verge of dehydration. We decided to cruise back to the shop to enjoy some nice air conditioning, and watch
Strange Creatures for the 101th time.
