We finally launched our NEW Revolution 90 Second Edits, starting it off with our Revolution Team Rider John Bolino. Our good friend/filmer Jon Jenkins and I have been working on this project for close to 7 months now. We’ve been working non-stop from designing the 90 second layout for the website, designing the new “look” for the footage, figuring out our new motion graphics, talking about which skater’s we wanted to profile, and most importantly filming skaters for our edits. There’s quite a bit of work that has gone into making this project happen.

A month ago, Jon spent 2 weeks filming/skating in Bama. Their scene has really strong roots for skating, they work for their spots, writing out trick lists for certain spots, they also take pride in their filming/presentation, and put a lot of effort into their skating. It’s awesome. Right now, Skating “deadzones” is pretty popular, building obstacles with concrete, creating trannies, creating your own skate spot from scratch. The Bama guys created a sick spot to session, it’s inspiring to see skater’s take the initiative to make things happen for themselves.

Jon got to skate/film with Matty Schrock, Michael Braud, Chris Daflick, New Jersey transplant Erik Stokley, Wild Bill and James Beary. The sessions were productive, people were pushing it, taking falls, and juiced to have Jon there to capture it all. Overall, Bama is a staple for rollerblading, they live it. It was a successful trip, and a good start on some future 90 Second Edits.
